Personal Select Air Program (Optional AirSea Program)
When you purchase the optional Personal Select Air program with Crystal Cruises, in addition to receiving competitive airfare, you’ll also enjoy transfers between the airport and ship.
All full-fare full-cruise guests are eligible to opt into Crystal Cruises’ Optional AirSea Program. Upon request, we will arrange round-trip air transportation between the published Gateway City and the port of embarkation /disembarkation. All airfares are per adult in U.S. dollars and include all government fees and taxes. Details regarding such fees are available on the individual airline websites.
If a guest chooses the Optional AirSea Program, the guest authorizes Crystal Cruises to choose the air carrier, routing and city airport from each Gateway City, as well as the right to substitute charter flights for scheduled service and vice versa. In the event adequate air service is unavailable from any of the listed AirSea gateway cities at the time the air itinerary is booked, the guest has the option of paying an additional fare for an alternate routing or air carrier, choosing another Air/Sea gateway city, or choosing to overnight en route at their own expense. Crystal Cruises will assist in securing hotel accommodations and arranging transfers from the airport to hotel and hotel to the pier. The guest is responsible for the hotel cost and all meal and other items of a personal nature. The overnight provision applies only to travel on the dates of embarkation/debarkation. All airfares are based on capacity-controlled contract, promotional or group fares. Business and Premium Economy Class air upgrades apply to international flights and may not apply to U.S. domestic or intra-continental flights within North America, Europe, South America, Asia or Africa. Airline tickets issued by Crystal Cruises may be highly restrictive. Because of this, guests may find that air tickets cannot be reissued, revalidated, exchanged for another carrier or routing, or upgraded with frequent flyer mileage credit. Any revision to an issued air ticket is subject to a $100 per person service fee, plus any change fees or fare increases charged by the carrier. A minimum cancellation fee of $300 up to the full value of the ticket is deducted from your refund. The guest agrees that Crystal Cruises has the exclusive right to process a request for refund of any airline ticket it issues. Air ticket cancellations are based on the airline(s) policy and may include cancellation fees.
Crystal Cruises is not responsible for any additional fees levied by the individual air carriers for miscellaneous services including, but not limited to, specific seat assignments, inflight meals, special assistance requests, luggage, frequent flyer mileage accrual or curbside check-in. Details regarding such fees are available on the individual airline websites. These special requests and services should be arranged by your travel professional directly with the airlines.
New Personal Choice Air Itineraries
Our AirSea Concierge Desk will customize an air itinerary to meet your individual needs. You may prefer to arrive in the port city a day earlier or spend additional days after the cruise. Or perhaps you wish to upgrade your flights to Business, Premium Economy or First Class, request a specific carrier, stop in a city en route to the ship, leave or return to a city not included in Crystal’s available air/sea cities or pay for a one-way itinerary. Crystal’s Personal Select Air Program allows you to create an air itinerary that will complete your perfect vacation. A non-refundable service fee of $100 per person will apply. Any additional air cost due to the custom itinerary is the responsibility of the guest. For new cruise reservations within 90 days of departure, Personal Choice Air requests must be received within three working days of the cruise booking. All requests are subject to flight availability. Please note: date deviations forfeit transfers.
Flight Confirmation/Special Requests
Flight schedules are verified by Crystal Cruises at time of ticketing. Schedule changes do occur and we strongly recommend that you reconfirm all flight times with the airline 96 hours prior to departure. Due to TSA requirements all guests must reconfirm with each carrier on the itinerary the details of the personal identification that they plan to use at the airport security checkpoint. First, middle and last name on the air ticket must be identical to the name on the passport that will be used at the security checkpoint. Failure to do so may result in denied boarding by the airline. Airline seat assignments, special meal requests, general assistance and the addition of frequent flyer account numbers to records must be arranged directly with the air carriers by the guests or through their travel professionals. Accrual of frequent flyer miles may be restricted when using AirSea fares.
Transfers between the airport and ship are available in ports on days of embarkation and disembarkation only at the beginning and end of each published itinerary. Guests participating in a Crystal Pre or Post-Cruise Hotel or Extended Land Program are entitled to transfers between airport, hotel and ship, or vice versa, according to itinerary. Transfers between airport or hotel and ship do not apply for guests making their own air and land arrangements. However, Crystal Cruises is pleased to extend the opportunity for cruise-only guests to purchase certain transfers for a nominal fee, available upon booking the cruise. Airport-to-ship or ship-to-airport transfers only operate between certain hours.
Crystal Penthouse (CP) guests are entitled to a total of two private car/minivan transfers per voyage. Transfers operate from/to the designated airport in the port city for embarkation and disembarkation. Transfers from/to other locations within 100 miles of the port city for embarkation and disembarkation may be substituted. Restrictions apply. Services are non-transferable. There are no credits given for forfeited services. Note: car/minivan will be arranged according to the number of pieces of luggage.
The guest’s ticket in use by the air carrier in conjunction with this program, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the air carrier and the guest. The air carrier is responsible for any act or event that takes place while guests are on board its conveyances, or for those that occur in the course of boarding or disembarking from the aircraft. Crystal Cruises does not own or operate the air carrier, ground transportation or hotels, and is not liable in any way for loss, damage, injury, illness or death arising in conjunction with the services provided by these independent contractors. The services of any ARC or IATA member carrier may be used in conjunction with this program.
